SEEMS R&D has been involved in research on efficient cultural methods, safety, effectiveness, and action mechanisms of adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs), using self-developed serum-free medium. Since the 2000s, there have been a variety of research findings on the basic properties of ASCs. In this regard, among other types of stem cells, ASCs have attracted attention for its easily extractable, highly safe, and broadly applicable properties, as a key to regenerative medicine in the future.
